A preliminary ideation of an on-campus training room and safety center. The goal was to design a room that contained a full complement of training equipment, a seminar theater, as well as a diverse product lineup with relevant educational messaging components.
The area was a pre-existing space, and the need to demonstrate fire safety equipment required a large mezzanine structure that can accommodate various climbing and scaling equipment. With space at a premium, the seminar theater area was incorporated into the mezzanine for maximum use of the square footage. In order to build a theatrical quality into the training, LED multimedia was incorporated into the walls. This provided an avenue to drive home messaging while creating a memorable learning experience.
